JesusChrist. Dice un amigo que no hay nada peor que un tonto con iniciativa. Yo añadiría que si ese tonto tiene Twitter, apaga y vámonos. No sólo quedan retratados artistas fronterizos como vimos el otro día, también se puede dar el caso de que alguien sea vilipendiado públicamente por emplear un poco de ‘humor negro’ en sus comentarios hasta puntos de que sea retirado de su labor como trabajador e imagen de una empresa de comunicación.
El fusilado en esta ocasión es Nacho Vigalondo, del cual he de confesar que nunca ha sido santo de mi devoción como profesional, pero que sigo porque sus comentarios habitualmente me hacen reír (y el famoso tweet no fue una excepción).

Ahora bien, que un montón de estrechos de mente, finísimos de piel y adalides de la virtud, monten en cólera por un comentario que destilaba ironía por los cuatro costados acerca del ‘Holocausto’, pues mire, hasta lo puedo pasar, porque mentes mediocres hay en todos los lados, PERO, que el diario El País de la razón a esta panda de amargados y saque a nuestro protagonista de su campaña de publicidad, por ahí ya no paso.
Me da asco la doble moral en la que esta envuelta todo este tema. Es vergonzosa.
Así que dicho esto y rota esta lanza, voy a pasar a los temas que de verdad nos importan, y que en su momento tuve la brillante idea de anotar.
Saco la lista. Leo lo primero que tengo anotado. Tres palabras. Sigh No More. Benditas palabras.
Sigh No More (Island Records, 2009) es el nombre del primer disco de Mumford & Sons, un grupo de ingleses con pinta de niños buenecitos, que han conformado un disco realmente excepcional.

No se lo voy a negar, cuando terminé de escuchar este disco, mire al techo de mi habitación, cogí el móvil y le mande un sms a uno de mis mejores amigos que decía lo siguiente:
‘He tenido una revelación el día de Navidad: a mi lo que realmente me gusta es el folk’
a lo que él contesto:
‘Disfrútalo con moderación. Yo mientras voy a proceder a emborracharme :)’
De esta aparentemente sencilla conversación se puede extraer mucho contenido, aunque en líneas generales se percibe que soy un poco exagerado y tiendo a la frase lapidaria (siento pasión por este tipo de sentencias), y que a mi amigo sabe lo que dice y le gusta más zurrarse a ‘roncola’ que a un tonto un lápiz.
El caso es que efectivamente es un disco con mucha (o muchísima) influencia folk, presumiblemente irlandesa. Todo combinado con muy buen gusto con pop de la región, y ojo al dato, con un banjo y un contrabajo (genialidad) que gobiernan cada momento de cada canción.
Sea como sea, el disco es impresionante y están teniendo el éxito correspondiente. Esto se ha visto confirmado en que aparecen como cabezas de cartel (grupos en letras grandes) del FIB 2011.
Voy a hacer lo que este en mi mano por aparecer por allí este verano.
